Japanese studio Tokyo Virtual Theory (TVT for short) was formed in 2019, and the staff includes a number of prestigious game developers. Among them are God Eater series supervisor Toshiyuki Yasui, Metal Gear series writer Tomokazu Fukushima, Patapon creator Hiroyuki Kotani, and JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All Star Battle director Kenei Nakasha. Metal Gear Survive, the odd survival game spin off from the Metal Gear universe, will have a beta later this month. It will launch on February 15, for PS4, Xbox One, and Steam. It will run until February 18, so if you want a chance to check out the game, you had better be quick. People who take part in the beta will get a Fox Hound name plate, a Metal Gear Rex head cosmetic, and a bandana....

Artyom’s world is bigger, but not better. Retro Studios might have outsourced a part of the work on Metroid Prime 4, according to a job listing discovered by YouTube user Doctre81. While it doesn’t mention the latest game in Samus Aran’s journey directly, the job listing says that the studio is seeking a person who might “review outsourced content to ensure final deliverables reflect the desired artistic vision.” This is all but uncommon in the games industry, as outsourcing is an instrument for developers to speed up work on the most notable titles—the same process has happened with Super Smash Bros....

While Splinter Cell: Blacklist was a great game, one thing that just didn’t seem right was the fact that Sam Fisher was no longer voiced by Michael Ironside. Microsoft has officially announced today the newest game in the Forza series with Forza Motorsport 6. Forza Motorsport 6 will have the all new Ford GT supercar on the cover. The game will be launched exclusively for the Xbox One. The Ford GT car itself was only recently revealed at the North American International Auto Show. Microsoft has not announced a release date for Forza Motorsport 6 yet, but chances are it will be out by the end of the year....

Phil Spencer is widely known as the head of the Xbox division at Microsoft, but it looks like he’ll be expanding that role a bit to include PC gaming in a much more direct way. Monster Hunter games have had a maximum player limit of four in the past, so a 16-player mission is exciting, but terrifying at the same time. The game usually increases the difficulty of a mission depending on how many players are in a hunt, so a 16-player monster fight could be ridiculously difficult....
