For the second time in less than a month, Capcom has news to share about Monster Hunter: World and this one is beyond impressive: it has just become the company’s best-selling game of all time. Specifically, Capcom revealed that Monster Hunter: World has sold 7.5 million units worldwide including both shipments to retailers and digital sales on both the PlayStation Store and on Xbox Live. Needless to say, this is impressive for a title which belongs to a series that was viewed as niche just a few years ago, yet this achievement looks even better when you consider two critical details....

Only certain weapons can block. Monster Hunter can be a very difficult to not only master, but to jump into in the first place due to its complexity. This is largely because of the selection of different weapons that you can choose from, with each one handling differently from the rest. Each type offers different pros and cons that you have to pick between when deciding in the new Monster Hunter Rise....

Low mobility but powerful ranged attacks. The Heavy Bowgun, like in previous entries of the series, is a powerful weapon in Monster Hunter Rise. In contrast to its little cousin, the Light Bowgun, it’s heavier, clunkier, slower, but way more powerful. They pretty much act the same way, but the Heavy Bowgun relies on less, heavy hitting shots than a plethora of smaller ones. Additionally, it can charge some of its shots for extra damage, making it true to its name....

Monster Hunter: World, the franchise’s latest installment is to be released on 26th January, and the game’s day one update details have been released, along with a few hints regarding future DLC. On 26th January, the game will be available on all three platforms, i.e. PC, PS4 and Xbox One, whereas Japan will have only the PS4 version released. Popular Japanese Magazine Famitsu recently awarded Monster Hunter World a Review Score of 39/40 i....

As expected, it was announced at Microsoft’s E3 press conference that Mass Effect 3 will in fact have Kinect voice support. Players can now use the Kinect microphone in dialogue sequences. You can speak one of the options on the dialogue wheel which will cue Shepard’s scripted in-game lines for that particular response. The voice control will also be available during battle as was shown in the E3 demo. You can apparently call for help and your squadmates will move into a better position to assist you....

As a kid growing up in the 80s and 90s, the Ghostbusters and their Ecto-1 were everywhere. We had 2 movies, as well as a pretty great animated series. All every child wanted under their tree each Christmas was the latest set of toys inspired by the franchise. I should know, they were always on my list to Santa, and I’m still proud of my firehouse HQ. Thankfully, with the upcoming release of Ghostbusters Afterlife, it seems as though a new generation will be able to experience the Ghostbusters excitement that we had back in the day....

Level-5 are one of the best JRPG developers around, although they won’t have any Nintendo Switch titles available at the console’s launch next March. Vandal had a chance to chat with Akihiro Hino who is the president and CEO of Level-5. He was asked about the status of Nintendo Switch games. Life is Strange: Remastered Collection is currently set for a February 1 release date, leaving it just under two weeks out from its launch. To say I’m excited about its launch would be an understatement, as I’d quickly consider myself a superfan. With it so close though, I’d say some of us are itching for more details, and while this isn’t the reveal we were hoping for, it’s an important one to note nonetheless....

The Nintendo Switch remake of Link’s Awakening is finally here. And with it, some essential items. Fairy bottles are what they sound: bottles that house a fairy. Fairies cluster around Great Fairy springs, and you can capture them in these bottles. Upon use, they restore your health to full in a pinch. This game mechanic is a staple in the Zelda games. Sneak up on an unsuspecting fairy, use the bottle, and now you have your max health potion in the form of a sad and angry captive....

Lost Ark has finally arrived in the West, although the launch has been delayed right at the finish line. As of the time of this writing, you’re not able to log in quite yet, but you can still purchase one of the MMO’s Founder’s Packs — and you’ll be joining a really big crowd if you do. Lost Ark developer Smilegate announced that 1.5 million Founder’s Packs have been sold. As Korean site GameMeca points out, the four types of Founder’s Packs occupied the top four best-selling slots on Steam on February 9, just two days ahead of the planned launch....

Adding badges requires that you’ve completed challenges. From any screen press outside of a race you press the Menu button at the bottom of the screen and then select Challenges. Once on the challenges screen you will be able to scroll through all of the different challenges and the ones that you’ve completed will have badges available. Simply tap on the badge and then select to display the badge to add it as your display badge....

Get as many friends involved and know how many people can play at once. Mario Party Superstars is just like other Mario Party games. They are best enjoyed while playing with others. CPUs are serviceable, but personality and interactions really go a long way. Besides, this is basically the video game equivalent of a board game. Playing a board game by yourself isn’t really exciting. Fortunately in Mario Party Superstars, you can totally play with friends, including online....

Today DICE introduced Casper, the official “Battlecat” for Battlefield 4. Obviously a feature that DICE won’t be one-upped on, Casper is in direct competition with the Call of Duty: Ghosts canine unit, introduced last week at the Xbox One reveal. Whether DICE is taking a shot at the Call of Duty Dog, or whether they are just having fun with their fans is anyone’s guess. They’ve asked their followers to send in pictures of their felines, and as expected, the results are becoming amusing....

The first look at Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3DS was revealed tonight at Konami’s E3 2011 Press Briefing. The game which is headed to the Nintendo 3DS, was announced and shown briefly at last year’s E3 reveal of Nintendo’s latest handheld. Since then we haven’t seen much about this much anticipated 3DS title, aside from the recent picture of the game snapped by creator, Hideo Kojima. The game which is set to arrive later this year on the 3DS should be very familiar for fans of the original PS2 classic....

CBS is in for an onslaught of drama from the LGBTQ community as the network failed to air Big Brother Head of Household Michael Bruner’s fiance’s love letter on the show. This miss denied the show a chance to highlight the LGBTQ community and the HOH’s fiance Hayden Middleton thinks it disappointing. He has since expressed how upset he was at the show for not acknowledging his relationship with Michael in a world that cast negativity on gay couples....

Add one more character to the growing roster of Titans. The DC Universe web series will reportedly bring new additions in the second season. The latest casting choice finds Michael Mosley (Ozark, Fear the Walking Dead: Passage) in the role of Doctor Light. Titans received rave reviews for the first season. Consequently, DC Universe wasted no time in greenlighting a second season. With returning members such as Robin, Starfire, Beast Boy, and more, the showrunners continue to expand the already giant cast....

Xbox Global Director of Games Marketing, Aaron Greenberg, has teased the 2015 Holiday Season will be big for Microsoft thanks to the release of Halo 5: Guardians. Greenberg had a lot to say about Microsoft’s plans for later this year during The Inner Circle Podcast. He hyped up that Halo 5: Guardians will be the company’s biggest release for 2015. He said that Halo 5: Guardians will be huge and could be “one of the biggest entertainment releases of the year“....

UPDATE: Developer 4J Studios has clarified that the Halloween Mash-Up pack will hit “all platforms”, so expect it on PS3, PS4, and PS Vita as well. The annual Halloween Mash-Up pack is coming once again to Minecraft for Xbox 360 and Xbox One. This year’s edition features a bunch of fun and spooky items that players can use in their games. Just like other Mash-Up packs, players will have a pre-built world to play in, which uses all of the new textures and features....

Bug fixes and changes Update 2.29 has arrived for Minecraft, and here’s the full list of changes and fixes added with this patch. Mojang Studios has now released a new update to all versions of Minecraft today on September 21st, 2021. If you are playing the PS4 version of the game, the patch number is 2.29. Officially though, this update is version number 1.17.30 called Bedrock. There are a few new features and experimental features that have been included as a part of this update....
