Bioware has announced that not only will there be a Mass Effect 3 demo, but that Battlefield 3 players will be “among the first” to get access to the game. As you may already know if you purchased Battlefield 3, the game comes with an insert that doubles as an invitation to the multiplayer portion of the Mass Effect 3 demo. In November and December EA claims that there will be other ways to get into the demo, which is said to include a single player portion and a sneak peak at the Galaxy at War online part of the game....

Today, along with publisher tinyBuild, they have announced their next project Mayhem in Single Valley. The game is a top-down action-adventure title inspired by both Stranger Things and Zelda. The game will release later in 2020 exclusively for PC. Mayhem in Single Valley follows the life of Jack, a boy who was planning to leave town for the big city life....

Sony has announced a new initiative set to hit the PlayStation Network this fall. The Day 1 Digital program offers games for download on the PSN on the same day that they are released at retail. The program will kick off with Resident Evil 6 on October 2nd, and give PlayStation 3 users the opportunity to pre-order the content through the network prior to their release. PlayStation Plus subscribers will also get a 10% discount on any games in the program, which Sony has announced to include some of the biggest releases of 2012....

Review aggregator site Metacritic has changed the way that users can leave reviews of games on their site starting today. Before the change, as soon as a game came out, users of the site could leave a review judged on a 10-point scale. Now though, they have to wait an additional 36 hours before they can do so. In its place is a message that says: “Please spend time playing the game....

Metroid Dread launches on October 8 for Nintendo Switch. As the next game in the long-running Metroid series, Dread takes things back to the series’ 2D roots, while delivering some new twists and turns for everyone’s favorite galactic bounty hunter. In Dread’s latest trailer, the developers show off some of the new tools Samus will have at her disposal. As fans would expect, Samus still has access to her powerful arm cannon and missile launcher....

It turns out that the morph ball sequence break wasn’t the only way to get a quick kill against Kraid in Metroid Dread. Another player has discovered a second way involving the flash shift. The flash shift ability is typically unlocked post-Kraid boss fight, on your first visit to Burenia. It lets you dash quickly in succession, allowing you to get past certain doors and more easily dodge enemy attacks. But Twitter user yassu_yassu showed off what happens if you get the flash shift before you fight Kraid....

Microsoft Flight Simulator delivers the most immersive experience of flying a plane in a video game, and it is all set to get even better with the addition of virtual reality. While Microsoft had previously announced that VR support will be coming to the HP Reverb G2, the VR headset created by HP in collaboration with Microsoft and Valve, the new update is not exclusive to one VR headset. The update not only adds VR support to the HP Reverb G2, but also most Windows Mixed Reality headsets, Oculus, Valve, and HTC headsets....
