Lucas is one of the last Amiibo to be released for the Super Smash Bros. line of figures, which was the one that started the entire frenzy, and still has the most amount of figures available. There’s still some DLC characters coming down the pipe, with Final Fantasy VII’s Cloud likely being the final entry in the set, though Nintendo has surprised us with some of their scheduling choices. As for Animal Crossing, that series has just gotten started, so expect to see a lot more from it in the future....

Luigi’s Mansion 2 was one of the surprise reveals of E3 2011 for Nintendo, but now that the cat is out of the bag in regards to the sequel, Nintendo has released some new screenshots for the game pre-TGS. We got a chance to play Luigi’s Mansion 2 at E3 this year and it was one of the more enjoyable titles among Nintendo’s strong first party lineup being shown. Focused on stability and usability. Madden 21 released about a month and a half ago and definitely had some bugs upon launch. EA Sports has worked to try and patch those bugs since the release of the game. The latest patch for the game has now arrived with patch update 1.14 that is now available for all platforms. While this one doesn’t add anything major to the game, it focuses instead of more stability and usability of the game itself, which is nice to see....

It was just officially announced yesterday that Marvel’s Avengers from Crystal Dynamics and Square Enix is ending and is set to lose support in just three years. The game will have its final game update on March 31st, which is version 2.8, before it ends all support on September 30th. Microsoft is struggling to bring its cloud gaming platform Project xCloud to iOS devices, despite Apple’s efforts to keep it out of its App Store. A test was conducted several months ago, but it had to deal with App Store’s restrictions for game libraries, only bringing one single game to the supported devices. The first announcement at today’s Nintendo Direct was a “massive expansion” for Monster Hunter Rise. The latest Monster Hunter game was released earlier this year for the Nintendo Switch. Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak will be releasing in summer 2022 and is described as a “massive expansion” that will include new locales, monsters, hunts, and quest ranks. There’s no word on pricing for the expansion yet, but if other Nintendo Switch expansions are anything to go by, we could be expecting something in the $20 range....

Comes between two major PlayStation releases.
