The huge H1Z1 patch that fans are currently downloading is so big that the developers over at Daybreak Games Company have dubbed it the ‘Big Damn Patch’. It is set to implement a lot of new features and fixes to the existing game for fans to enjoy. Announced earlier today via the H1Z1 Reddit page, the H1Z1 patch will add a new male character skin, added a R380 pistol to the arsenal and have added the addition of Workbenches....

SmartGlass, a companion app released for iPhone, Android, Windows Phone and Windows 8, was marginally successful in its implementation for the Xbox 360, with it suffering from a late introduction, relative lack of support, and lag. Lots and lots of improvements Update 1.20 has arrived for Minecraft Dungeons, and here’s the full list of changes and fixes added with this patch. Developers Mojang Studios and Double Eleven have now released a brand new update for Minecraft Dungeons today that should be rolling out now for all platforms. On PS4 the patch number is 1.20, although officially it’s recognized as 1.10.3.0. This patch has been released on August 11th and it features a lot of bug fixes....

The long anticipated release of update 1.8.2 for Minecraft on the Xbox 360 has been confirmed for October 16th by Play XBLA. 4J Studios has also confirmed the release date after announcing that the update was in the certification process. Like all game updates, Microsoft tests the updates that arrive on its games to make sure that new problems don’t arise from their delivery on the console, and that wait can take some time....

Since the release of the memoir I’m Glad My Mom Died by Jennette McCurdy, Miranda Cosgrove has reacted to the allegations toward Dan Schneider, the creator of iCarly, who McCurdy claims the creator was exploitative and abusive on set. A recent New York Times article explores what happened on the set of the show, and the leading star gives her perspective. At the time, Miranda Cosgrove saw nothing wrong with Jennette McCurdy....

In early October, Capcom revealed that a live-action Monster Hunter movie was in the works with Paul W.S. Anderson set to write and direct. The film will reportedly star Milla Jovovich, Tony Jaa, T.I., Diego Boneta, and Ron Perlman. Time to switch things up. Switch Skills are a new feature added in Monster Hunter Rise that allow you to personalize your playstyle with the weapon of your choice. They take a bit of work to unlock, but they can make a weapon you previously didn’t care for into a personal favorite. You’ll need to tackle the more difficult Hub quests and do some crafting to unlock all three per weapon, but they are well worth the effort....

PSVR title Monster of the Deep: Final Fantasy XV has launched this week, and to mark the occasion Square Enix has not only worked on a traditional launch trailer, but has gone beyond traditional marketing duties to create a fake informercial in the style of TV ads from shopping networks. The video promotes the title in a comedic tone, presenting the game as the perfect solution to those fishing fans who just don’t want to deal with the hassle of actually going fishing....

Sony has launched an interesting “PlayStation Class” at a Korean University where students learn about everything about the PS4 and PS Vita. Games In Asia has reported Sony will be partnering with Sangmyung University Seoul in South Korea to launch a special PlayStation class for it IT students to attend. The PlayStation class isn’t all about playing games though as it focuses on the development side of gaming. Students will get to learn how to develop games on the PS4 and PS Vita as well as the history of the consoles....
