Today Microsoft takes the stage in Los Angeles for their annual E3 Press Conference. The Xbox Media Briefing Live Stream can be found above, and the company is expected to reveal what’s to come on the new console. Phil Spencer says that the presentation will be focused on games, and we’ve already heard quite a lot out of Microsoft in the weeks leading up to E3. We’ll probably hear about the known quantities, like the games that are set to arrive this year: Forza Horizon 2, Sunset Overdrive and others....

Microsoft has today announced a new Cloud PC service for businesses called Windows 365. It is essentially a business-exclusive service that lets organizations give their employees access to a Windows PC-in-a-cloud via a web browser. So, the service is a simpler version of Microsoft’s existing Azure Virtual Desktop service, without the hassle of setting up an Azure Virtual Desktop environment in the cloud. After delivering the mandatory April 2022 update for Windows 11 and Windows 10 earlier this week, Microsoft has now started rolling out a new Windows 11 update. The build is rolling out in the Release Preview channel and takes the build number to 22000.651. In this update, the Redmond giant fixed a lot of bugs in its latest desktop OS, including the one that causes Windows 11 to take around 40 minutes to boot up....

Xbox One Preview Program members are now able to play video games before they have been released. Microsoft is now seeking feedback from those that have already tried out the new feature. Xbox Director of Program Management, Mike Ybarra, tweeted out: “Do you like the Game Preview Program on Xbox One? Interested in thoughts (and if you have no clue what it is let me know that too!)” This feature is similar to Steam’s “Early Access” feature where players are able to play some video games even though they’re still currently in development....

Sony has revealed all of the notes for update patch 1.04 for MLB The Show 16. Fixes have been made to both the offline and online modes of the game. We’ve seen Nintendo apply very different monetization strategies to its mobile games from time to time. The one that was quite unusual and a bit weird is the Mario Kart Tour Gold Pass, that’s a monthly subscription you need to pay to get multiplayer, a class, and other customization content. Minecraft: Nintendo Switch Edition’s achievements have been discovered, making it the first game for Nintendo platforms to support Xbox and Microsoft’s achievement since the launch of the Xbox Live network. According to True Achievements, there are 79 achievements worth a total of 1,750 Gamerscore in the game. This means you can play it on Nintendo Switch and earn gamerscore points to add on top of the ones you gained playing on Xbox One and Windows 10....

Minecraft YouTuber Technoblade, who has more than 10 million subscribers, died due to his cancer two days ago. The fans and the game industry are sad about his death, and we’ve heard many condolences. One of the most meaningful respect comes from a big part of YouTuber Technoblade’s life: Minecraft. Minecraft might be heading to the PlayStation 3. Mojang’s Jens Bergensten recently revealed that the exclusivity window is closing between Microsoft and his company, and when it does, the company is considering bringing the game to the console. “Minecraft has an exclusivity deal for consoles. When it runs out we’ll consider Minecraft for PlayStation, but Wii U is very unlikely,” said the Mojang developer in a recent interview. No timetable on when to expect the game on consoles outside of the Xbox 360 has not been revealed, but that answer probably lies in the contract between the two companies....
